Brazil international shows: Guitarist and American conductor makes two shows in São Paulo, inside of the Mostra Sesc of Arts.
The guitarist and American conductor Glenn Branca, one of the great names of the vanguard music of the years 1980, will come in Brazil next month. He has two shows marked in Sesc Belenzinho, in São Paulo, on July 24 and July 25, 2012.
The musician comes to Brazil commanding a group composed by four guitars, bass and battery. The presentations are part of the programming of the Mostra Sesc of Arts. The sale of entrances begins in the next 7 July 2012, in all of the units of Sesc.
Born in 1948, Branca it was known in the years 1980 with their symphonies for guitar and percussion. Their noisy and experimental compositions influenced rock bands as Sonic Youth and Swans.
Besides Branca, the Mostra Sesc of Arts will still have names as saxophonists Gary Bartz and Peter Brötzmann and the trumpet player Wadada Leo Smith, among others
