"Palco dos sonhos: 30 anos do Sambódromo": The book is a contribution of the brazilian Magazine Rio Samba and Carnival to the memory of the Rio de Janeiro samba schools. The project created by Maurício Mattos with texts by professor Felipe Ferreira, iconographic research by Fernando Araújo and visual programming by Fábio Corazza, tells the story of the Samba Passarelle from the first sounders who imagined a track specially created for the carnival parades to the last championship schools. The work highlights the main people who contributed to make the space created by Oscar Niemeyer, the great temple of samba art : the Sambadrome stadium, Rio de Janeiro.
The more than 250 photos that compose the work, many of the unpublished ones, were preserved in different sources, with emphasis on the photographic archive of magazine Rio Samba and Carnival. The book is an indispensable tool for any research, participate or simply admire the biggest popular festival in the world: the carnival of the samba schools of Rio de Janeiro.
